welcome back!
well, its my first post since we've been back here in Buenos Aires. in keeping with the blog theme here are some random thoughts:summer is the best season:) nothing like enjoying a gelato with some friends on a nice hot day. careful though, it could be habit forming.
so we've done the requisite porteno things, ie steak, wine, coffee, ice cream and all are exactly as i remember - excellent. its been a lot of fun catching up with our friends and just falling right back into rhythm. nothing really too out of the ordinary yet, playing tennis, long meals etc...
yesterday we had to take a trip to the u.s. embassy and boy was that something. as you can well imagine it is heavily, heavily guarded. nothing says welcome like a military tank on the street - freedom! anyway after we went through our 5th security person we went inside and well lets just say it wasnt much different than the cable company. basically take a number and wait for the "friendly" service people to "help". the reason i was there was to get more pages in my passport - eventually i got helped and was told to come back in the afternoon and pick it up - problem is how can i get in the building without my pasaporte??? that was fun. all in all not too bad.

Great to hear from you; I was really starting to get tired of the endless Kathy rants :) Keep having fun. You got any plans for more hoops? Oh, and will you be down there during the World Cup?
nope we wont be here for the copa it starts in june we are back in the states in may. thnks for the comments jerome we are trying to get others in on the act!
